For the In-laws

I found myself early for an appointment last night in downtown Chicago.  Aww, that's too bad.  I guess I'll have to make use of this backpack of camera gear that I had slung over my shoulder while in one of the grandest cities in the world for architecture.  I walked around a bit, but I couldn't go far due to it took awhile for me to find the building I had to be at and once I found it, I didn't want to get too far away from it for fear of not getting back in time to make my appointment.  At one point, I stopped walking to just look around and see what was around me.  I found myself under the Greek Consulate which leads me to the title.  My inlaws are Greek.  I thought it was a neat coincidence.  Not sure what a "consulate" is, but at least I know where it is.

Shuffle off to Buffalo

There are several explanations, I think, for why I am getting the evil eye from this guy.  1.  He's not a people person/animal and I'm crowding his space, 2. I didn't get a model release signed by him before taking his picture, or 3. He only has a point and shoot camera instead of the fancy rig I was pointing at him.  I'll go with #1.
And, the only reason I came up with this title tonight, is from watching an episode of The Waltons the other day.  Evidently it was a big song in the 1930's. It was the best reference I could think of for this shot. Life isn't as exciting as it once was.

Gone fishin'

If you want to catch some fish, you gotta get out with the fish.  Two different ways of fishing I observed this last weekend.
