What a month. February can't seem to decide if it wants to be winter or spring, cold or temperate, wet or dry. We've run the gamut this month. Today, started off with the same pattern, only with the skies. The day started with clouds, then became sunny, then a mix of the two. The sun peeking out from behind the clouds lent to some interesting light spreading out over the landscape. Some of it was captured in this shot.

A Slippin' and a slidin'
Only a week and a half past "The Blizzard of 2011" and we are in panic mode that all the snow is going away due to a warm week ahead. The kids, a neighbor, and I decided to hit the slopes Sunday for some downhill fun on the sleds. Abundant sunshine and temps in the high 30's made this a no brainer.

Red, White, and Blue
Red barn, White snow, and Blue sky (or blue for the color of your fingers after 1.5 minutes out in the cold with no gloves on).

The Day After
Quick post tonight of a shot from the day after Snowmageddon last week. As nasty as the storm was, the day after was really quite nice.

Over the hump
Some of you have noticed there has been little "blogging" the last couple of weeks. Some of you are ecstatic about this. And some of you have wondered where the pics are. Well, as I said last night, illness and weather have played a part. But, I think the biggest reason is really I was in the midst of "shooters block", like how writer's get "writer's block". You can only shoot so many trees and fences. Its easy to go out and get those shots....and can be a little boring. One of the problems has been the lack of sunsets this winter and the disappearance of alot of wildlife.
Today was the perfect opportunity to break out and get over the hump. We had a gorgeous sunset tonight and with the snow stopping for a few days, the wildlife was out and about looking for food. And I had no place to be so therefore did not have to rush home. I was able to extend my drive home to the side roads and look for shots. Here are a few of the keepers of a great shooting evening.

Follow the Light
Well, not at this moment, but if it was dark, I would follow these lights. Been awhile since the last post due to various things, i.e. illness, weather, etc. Some of you might have heard about our wonderful beginning to February- 20+ inches of snow. So that kept me busy the last few days. I did get this shot before the storm hit, just didn't have time to sit down and post until now.
